Day one on the K100 regulator overhauling. I wished lockdown would never end!!! Time to get stuff done. Day one was all about getting all disassembled and cleaned/polished. So before we start, that´s the desired outcome.
And before the reg was looking this this.
Opening the regulator can be a challenge though as it´s closed with high torque. It is beneficial using an air pressure driller opening the centered nut.
Day one was all about getting all disassembled and cleaned/polished. The coals as well as all other parts turned out being great.
No need exaggerate on polishing all internals, but cleaning everything up nicely at least is a must.
All visible parts you may wish polishing though. I´m using a nylon wirewheel first followed by a brass wheel for a nicer finish.
The housing got a spray primer followed by a silk black laquer.
Ready for final assembly already!
